Noisy analog porn at ATK tonight.

Just came across info about a great sounding gig at ATK tonight with local impresario Vu Nhat Tan and French lo-fi analog junkie E.Rebus. Don’t have much time so I’m gonna be lazy and copy ATK’s gig info directly below. Definitely worth checking out!

From CAMA:

Fellow sound explorers Vu Nhat Tan and E.Rebus of France meet in a roomful of bizarre machines to challenge your ears.

E.Rebus – otherwise known as Emmanuel Ferrand – works at the crossroads of sound art and science, with a particular focus on the raw qualities of sounds and vibration phenomena, often in relationship with an archtecture or an urban environement. His fascination with low tech and recycled equipment, analog devices, malfunctioning or modified consumer electronics devices has impressed audiences and made him a stalwart member of France’s DIKTAT quartet and La Générale, an independent art space in Paris.

The focus of the collaboration will be an improvised look at analogue sounds, found tapes, field recordings and drones as the two seek to add something new to Hanoi’s soundscape.
